With the November General Election on the horizon, the city is looking at 3 open council seats and the mayor's chair.

A trio of Canby City Council seats, as well as the mayor's seat, will be up for grabs in the coming Nov. 8 General Election.

The City of Canby is currently seeking candidates for the expiring terms of city councilors Art Marine, Greg Parker and Shawn Varwig, as well that of Mayor Brian Hodson. Their respective terms end on Dec. 31, 2022.

The council positions are four-year terms while the mayor's seat is a two-year term. Winners of the mayor and council positions will serve terms that commence in January 2023.

Filing for the open positions is now open and nominations will be accepted through 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 25. Qualified candidates must be a resident of the city of Canby during the 12 months immediately preceding the election, must be a qualified elector in the State of Oregon, and may not be employed by the City of Canby.
