Canby Legion Auxiliary sets fundraising breakfasts
The Canby American Legion Auxiliary will hold a breakfast fundraiser each Sunday.
The breakfast includes bacon, sausage and chicken fried steak, as well as eggs cooked to order, hash browns, pancakes, English muffins, biscuits and gravy or just biscuits. Beverage choices are coffee, milk or juice.
Breakfast runs from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and costs $9 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 and under.
The Legion Post is at 424 N.W. 1st Ave., but use the Fir Street entrance.
Square dance for beginners set for Aurora
Local square dance club Chaps and Petticoats will have a free event for beginning square dancers. The event is open to youth and adults from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 11 and 18 at the Maplewood Grange, 25480 S. Highway 99E in Aurora.
The event will teach square dance steps that build to dancing.
Dahlia Festival continues through September
The 2022 Dahlia Festival at Swan Island Dahlias continues through Sept. 30 in Canby. The festival is held from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, except Wednesdays.
The festival is free and features live music, food carts, local vendors, classes and more.
Swan Island Dahlias is located at 955 N.W. 2nd Ave. in Canby. Musicians perform from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
Molalla Alumni Association slates October lunch
The Molalla Alumni Association will hold a fall luncheon for all alumni beginning at noon Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Molalla High School commons, 357 Frances St., Molalla

Needhams ready for free concert in Molalla
The Needhams will offer a free concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Molalla Christian Church. Dave and his sister, Diane, write their own songs and have rich harmonies that appeal to young and old. There will be a free-will offering taken to help offset their travel costs as they are based in Tennessee. There also will be CDs for sale.
Canby Taproom channels Oktoberfest celebration
Canby's FOB Taproom will tap into a German tradition with the first-ever Fobtoberfest from noon to 9 p.m. Sept. 17 at Wait Park.
Modeled after the annual Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, this event will feature not only local businesses, but music, beverages and food.
