The Canby senior is going to play softball in Weed, California in the next spring sports season

SUBMITTED PHOTO - Canby's Jessaka Noe signs with College of the Siskiyous to play softball. Another Canby softball player is making the move to the collegiate season. Senior Jessaka Noe signed with the College of the Siskiyous on Friday, May 4 to play softball in the spring of 2019.

"It feels awesome, a dream come true," Noe said. "I'm not really nervous, I feel more excited about it."

Noe has already had a chance see the facilities and to meet up with her future teammates and coach. The coach had already been to several of her softball games over the years to scout the players, and Noe had already had a chance to meet him. Her teammates will be people she is already familiar with.

"I am lucky to have a few of my friends going to the same college as me to play," Noe said.

While attending College of the Siskiyous, Noe plans on studying psychology and criminal justice. Part of the motivation behind that is figuring out what makes people tick.

"I like trying to figure out what makes people do things," Noe said. "It is like a puzzle."

In the Eagles, Noe will join a team that went just 4-35 last season, and leaves behind a Cougars softball team that posted an overall record of 15-13. Canby lost in the opening round of the state playoffs to West Albany 10-1.
