Canby snags Pamplin All American Awards
From the fall season, Canby High School took home five separate Pamplin All American awards. The awards are the first annual ones held by the Pamplin Media, and the awards were determined by votes from the various communities and supporters of the athletes and schools. For the fall 2018 season, Canby took home five separate awards.
One of the five award winners was senior Claire Wright who was voted the Best Girl Soccer Player. Wright beat out Kyla Sullivan of Clackamas High School and Marley Salveter of Sandy High School. The Canby girls' team made it to the second round of the playoffs after beating Glencoe in the opening round. Once there, the team was defeated by Sunset 3-2 to end the season 10-6.
