Chard, Yancey, Hester and Keinonen lead Cougars past Lakeridge in league dual

Canby's girls swim team edged Lakeridge 90-80 Thursday to improve to 3-0 in Three Rivers League duals.

Competing at the Canby Swim Center, Mairen Chard, Allison Yancey, Kylie Hester and Avery Keinonen opened the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay in 1 minute, 57.64 seconds.

The foursome also won the 200 free relay in 1:45.10.

Individually, Chard won the 200 free in 2:11.19 and the 100 free in 57.98.

Keinonen finished first in the 200 IM in 2:22.81 and second in the 500 free in 5:49.32.

Hester took first in the 50 free in 26.03 seconds.

Yancey placed first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.08 and second in the 100 butterfly in 1:02.15.

Halana Crispin finished second in the 100 backstroke in 1:10.75.

Lakeridge's boys outscored Canby 116-54.

Canby's Jordan Spencer won the 200 free in 1:59.43 and took second in the 100 free in 55.60.

Hunter DeRisio won the 500 free in 5:47.95.

Thomas Diggles finished second in the 50 free in 24.42 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.88.

The Cougars are back in action next Thursday for another home dual meet against Tualatin.
