Konold's performance against Scappoose earned him enough votes to be named WaFd Bank Oregon athlete of the week

Canby running back Tyler Konold was recently named SBLive's WaFd Bank Oregon High School Athlete of week for Oct. 11-17.

The sophomore rushed for three touchdowns and about 225 yards for the Cougars in their 33-21 win at Scappoose.

Konold received 36.4% of the vote, beating out Lebanon's Waylon Wolfe, who finished with 28.4%, as well as Baker's Malaki Myer and Sherwood's Cody Hall.

The Cougars play for the league title Friday night in Canby when they host Wilsonville. Both teams enter the game with 6-0 league marks.
