Cougars claim district wrestling title
The Canby High wrestling team will head to the state tournament with a 10-man contingent and the Three Rivers League tournament championship in its pocket.Overall, the Cougars scored 371.5 points to claim the league title Feb. 19 and saw 18 of its squad pick up places during the tournament. Matthew Young, Ty Ewers, Matthew Hagen and Colin Kennedy walked away with individual titles, but this was a team performance throughout the weight classes for Canby.

The 6A state tournament will be Feb. 26-27 at Sandy High School.
