The annual downtown event opened its new season Saturday with some COVID-19 safety twists

The Canby Farmers Market got its 2020 season off and running Saturday, May 9, in the new COVID-19 environment.

With social distancing protocols in place and the first test of the drive-thru option for the first hour in place, the market opened.

The event offered handwashing stations, social distancing markers on the ground, and plenty of optimism.

The market runs every Saturday through Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is open for drive-thru only from 9-10 a.m., which will allow visitors to shop from their cars. At 10 a.m., the market officially opens for traditional shopping.
