The National Weather Service in Pendleton has extended the flood advisory for rain and melting snow in western Crook County, including Prineville.

Creeks and streams continue to run high and fast across the region,with ponding of water on roads and in low lying areas. Some light rain will continue through the rest of the day with rain amounts from 0.10 to 0.25 inches with minor flooding expected through the next 24 hours.

Colder air is expected to move into the area by Sunday with a short break in precipitation tonight, but some light rain is still expected on Saturday.
