Stabbing occurred Monday during a domestic dispute at a residence just each of Prineville

A Prineville woman was arrested and jailed for stabbing a local man multiple times during a domestic dispute on Monday.

Authorities from Crook County Sheriff's Office and the Prineville Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Northeast Barnes Road about half of one mile east of Prineville. According to the report, a woman was stabbing a man who was attacking her.

An investigation revealed that 48-year-old Larissa Rollins was involved in a domestic dispute with her boyfriend, 51-year-old Prineville resident Michael Cross, and their 42-year-old roommate Joel Brown, of Prineville.

Cross reportedly tried to break up a disagreement between Rollins and Brown, but after he broke up the altercation, he went into the kitchen and engaged in another disagreement with Rollins. She then grabbed a knife and stabbed Cross seven times.

Cross was transported to St. Charles Prineville by Brown with non-life threatening injuries. Rollins remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation, she was arrested for second-degree domestic assault. She was transported to the Crook County Jail where she was lodged.

No other information about the incident was disclosed by authorities.
