Redemption House Ministries leader dies unexpectedly
Redemption House Ministries Executive Director Greg Sanders passed away unexpectedly Friday.
He has overseen operation of two homeless shelters in the Prineville community for the past few years, one for women and children and another for men that is made available during cold weather months.
"We were devastated to learn the news of Greg's sudden passing," said Mike Wilson, board chair for Redemption House Ministries in Prineville. "He had a compassion that was inspiring to all of us."
Wilson said the board will meet Tuesday evening with Redemption House staff to talk immediate needs and begin casting a plan of succession.
"As we attend to the shock of Greg's death, both the staff and our board of directors are determined to keep the shelters open and operating," he said. "We have people who are passionate and capable."
Wilson added that the board will be "reaching out to our community partners for their support as we make our way through this time."
