We cannot heal from the grief that we are enduring without God's grace in Jesus Christ

CENTRAL OREGONIAN - Chris Cookston"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4

Grieving the death of a loved one brings new challenges in new ways. While walking through the dark valley, we cannot see God working in our lives. Imagine walking into the basement of a house where all the window blinds are closed and the lights are off. Outside, the sun is shining and it's a beautiful day, but all you can see in that basement is darkness. You begin to forget that the sun is up and shining ever so brightly. In a similar way, grief blinds us to truth. God is always here, but we are often blinded to Him.

As we face losses, we need God's grace. We're able to see Him only by grace. It is His Amazing Grace that fixes our blindness. He gives us new eyes so that we can behold His Son and see His work in us. He is our Comfort and our Guide through His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

We cannot heal from our grief without God's grace in Jesus Christ, and that's where GriefShare comes into play. GriefShare exists to assist you in your grief journey, from mourning to joy! Everyone who has lost a loved one to death is invited to attend GriefShare. We'd truly love it if you joined us.

Several weeks ago, we wrapped up our last GriefShare class. It was a success! Each participant happily reported that they were given the help that they needed to process and heal through their grief. GriefShare includes a weekly video seminar featuring top experts on grief. They share their personal stories of losing loved ones and how they processed their grief. GriefShare is also a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences. And, I'm happy to report that we're beginning a new GriefShare in January.
