Prineville woman injured, cited for DUII in crash
A local woman was cited for DUII following a crash Thursday evening in northeast Prineville.
Crook County Sheriff's Office reported that 42-year-old Kristi Teasdale, of Prineville, was involved in a single-vehicle wreck on Ochoco Highway, near Northshore Trail.
Initial reports to 911 indicated that a red Saturn passenger car had traveled down an embankment, rolled and collided with a tree. It was also reported that there were two occupants trapped in the vehicle.
Deputies arrived on scene and located the car approximately 50 feet down the southern embankment of the highway. The child passenger had exited the Saturn with no injuries. Teasdale had self-extricated from the car and deputies utilized a Rescue rope to help her up from the embankment. Crook County Fire and Rescue arrived on scene and subsequently transported Teasdale to St. Charles Prineville due to her non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies determined during a subsequent investigation that alcohol and medication were contributing factors in the crash. Teasdale was cited in lieu of custody for driving under the influence of intoxicants. The crash is still under investigation with additional charges pending.
