Yes, Democrats are to blame for current problems
I recently read a letter titled "Democrats are not to blame for the issues we face."
The writer blames Republicans for many negative issues facing us today. The writer asks us to check out this information. So, here's the facts: Last Republican Governor in Oregon Vic Atiyeh (1979-1987). Since 2010, the Democrats have held the majority in the Oregon Senate. The last time Republicans held the majority in the Oregon House was 2005-06 session. The House was evenly split during the 2011-12 session at 30/30. Since then, it has been controlled by the Democrats.
So, any issues with the State of Oregon for the past 12 years is squarely on the backs of Democrats. Nationally, the current makeup of the federal government is as follows: U.S. Senate, 48 Democrats, 50 Republicans and two Independents who caucus with the Democrats making it a 50/50 Senate with the tie breaker being Vice President Harris, a Democrat.
After the 2020 elections, the House makeup was 222 Democrats to 213 Republicans. There are five current vacancies making the House 219 Democrats and 211 Republicans. The president and vice president are currently Democrats. This means the House and Senate and Executive Branch are controlled by Democrats. Again, anything occurring currently is squarely on the backs of Democrats.
