The Fifth Annual Freedom Aloft Balloon Rally landed in Prineville last weekend

 - The Fifth Annual Freedom Aloft Balloon Rally landed in Prineville last week, bringing nine hot air balloons, and some spectacular rides for a several local residents.

The Fifth Annual Freedom Aloft Balloon Rally brought nine hot air balloons to Prineville last Friday through Sunday. The pilots belong to the Balloon Federation of America and gave free tethered rides to community members. They also gave rides to sponsors and first responders.

JAMIE WOOD/CENTRAL OREGONIAN - The pilots had planned to put on a Night Glow Friday evening, but high winds made it difficult for the balloons. Only one, Redemption, was able to illuminate. Instead, pilots entertained spectators by shooting their burners into the night sky.
