Lights were at the heart of the Annual Lighted Christmas Parade and Christmas in the Pines

 - Visitors lined Third Street for the Annual Lighted Christmas Parade Saturday evening, kicking off the Christmas season in Prineville. Festive parade floats bathed in strings of lights greeted onlookers, many of whom went on to drive through the Christmas in the Pines display, which opened that night after the parade concluded.

Three Prineville Christmas traditions kicked off the holiday season this weekend. Grimes Christmas Scene opened Friday, sharing the world of miniature magic.

 - A cold, windy evening did not dampen enthusiasm among the parade crowd, who came prepared with fire pits, warm beverages, and lots of blankets, gloves and hats.
