The Stampede Street Party may have wound up soaked and blown about by blustery winds, but hundreds of people still made the trip to downtown Prineville Wednesday evening, lining up to sample chili prepared by the Prineville Police Department, Crook County Sheriff's Office, and Crook County Fire and Rescue.
The chili was free and visitors were invited to purchase tickets to cast votes for which agency made the best chili. This year, the Prineville Police Department took the top honor.
