Alex and Moses Freauff win No. 1 doubles match, Crook County's remaining win is a Ridgeview forfeit

The brothers, who are the Crook County No. 1 doubles team, continued to roll on Thursday as they squeaked past Kevin Vivanco and Ethan Hicks of Ridgeview, 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 in a marathon match Thursday afternoon at Ridgeview.

The victory was the lone win that the Cowboys took on the court as they fell 6-2 to the Ravens. The remaining Crook County win was a forfeit by Ridgeview at No. 4 singles.

In the No. 1 singles match, Ridgeview's Tim Schneider defeated Alex Nyman 6-0, 6-4. In the No. 2 singles match, John Wright dominated Crook County's Javier Dominguez 6-1, 6-0. In the closest singles match of the day, Ridgeview's Declan Clark held on to edge Holt Porfily 6-2, 2-6, 10-5.

After the Freauff brothers' victory, the remainder of the doubles matches were all easy wins for Ridgeview.

First, Aaden Poindexter and Shad Bamgerter rolled past Jordan Owens and Garrett Bond 6-1, 6-2. Then Chris Yourston and Andrew Ulum defeated Nicolas Cushman and Colby Mason, 6-2, 6-1 before Jacob Spivey and Jay Patel cruised past Jeremy McCullough and Joe Stembeck 6-0, 6-1.

The Cowboys do not play again until Tuesday, April 3, when they travel to Estacada for the opening match of the Special District 2 league season.
