Crook County High School graduate Chad Forrester ends rodeo seaon with a win at Las Vegas

Chad ForresterChad Forrester graduated from Crook County High School in 2016.

After taking a year off from school, Forrester has returned to school and has seen his budding rodeo career take off.

Competing for Lassen Community College in Susanville, California, Forrester, a team roping heeler, has teamed with Wyatt Spencer of Red Bluff, California, to have an outstanding rookie season.

Spencer and Forrester closed out their season in style in early May, with a victory at the South Pointe Arena in Las Vegas.

The duo had a flawless run at the University of Las Vegas as they won the second go round of the West Coast Regionals with a time of 5.9 seconds. The finish propelled them into the top 10 in the final standings of the West Coast Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
