Three Cowgirls named to volleyball all-league first team
Despite finishing in third place in the Intermountain Conference, the Crook County High School volleyball team was well represented on the all-league team.
Three Cowgirls earned first team all-league status, while two others earned honorable mention recognition.
Crook County junior Anna Woodward joined fellow junior Allicite Frost of Ridgeview as co first-team setters.
The league also named two first team liberos with Crook County senior Mekynzie Wells joining Pendleton senior Kirah McGlothan on the first team.
Crook County junior outside hitter was also named to the first team along with Emily Curtis, a senior from Hood River Valley.
Other players selected to the all-league first team included middle blockers Nicole Bossemeyer, a junior from Ridgeview, and Carli Stroud, a senior from Hood River Valley.
Ridgeview junior Rylee Troutman and Hood River Valley senior Katie Kennedy were both named to the first team as all around players.
Kennedy was named the league's player of the year, while Ridgeview's coaching staff, led by head coach Randi Viggiano, were selected as coaches of the year.
Crook County juniors Kenna Woodward, a middle blocker, and Lily Cooper, a right side hitter, were both given honorable mention recognition by the league.
