Cowboys place three on all-league team
The Crook County Cowboys were well represented on the 2019-2020 Intermountain Conference All-League squad.
Crook County's Kevin Sanchez was named IMC player of the year, while Caleb Arnold was also named to the first team.
In addition, first-year head coach Jason Mumm was selected as IMC coach of the year, while Cayden Lowenbach was named to the second team.
Sanchez averaged 19.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game during the 10-game league season, while Arnold averaged 14.9 points and 7.8 rebounds and Lowenbach averaged 7.6 points and 6.7 rebounds.
Sanchez and Lowenbach are both juniors, while Arnold is a senior.
The Cowboys were the lone team to place two players on the all-league first team. However, Pendleton had a player selected to the first team, two to the second team and a fourth player named honorable mention, giving them one more player on the all-league squad than Crook County has.
Also selected to the IMC first team are Dakota Sams, a junior from Pendleton, Dylan Moss, a senior from Redmond, and Noah Webster, a senior from Hood River Valley.
Crook County and Pendleton both had 8-2 conference marks, however, the Cowboys won the league title by virtue of taking the tiebreaker between the two teams. It was the first IMC championship in boys basketball in Crook County history.
