Crook County resident will compete in breakaway roping, team roping and barrel racing for the University

 - Crook County resident Hope Luttrell recently signed a letter of intent to compete in rodeo at Sam Houston State University, which is located in Huntsville, Texas. Luttrell previously competed at Cochise Community College in Sierra Vista Arizona. Head rodeo coach Edward (Bubba) Miller is with Luttrell.

Hope Luttrell of Prineville recently signed a letter of intent to compete in rodeo at Sam Houston State University, which is located in Huntsville, Texas.

Luttrell, a 2018 graduate of Culver High School previously competed for Cochise College in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Luttrell competed in the National College Rodeo Finals in 2019. In addition, she finished second in the 19U breakaway roping at last year's Junior World Rodeo Finals.

She is the daughter of Al and Kaci Luttrell, will compete in breakaway roping, team roping and barrel racing at the Sam Houston State where she is majoring in fine arts.
