The three-day session at Meadow Lakes Golf Course will be on Aug. 5-7, from 10-11 a.m. each day

Meadow Lakes Golf Course in Prineville will be holding a Junior Camp this week. The three-day session on August 5-7, from 10-11 a.m. each day.

The camp will cover the fundamentals of golf including grip, set-up, golf etiquette, short-game, putting and practice habits. Each day, there will be a specific focus on one major area of play (putting, short-game and full swing), with some time dedicated to practicing the other areas of the game as well. 

The cost of the program will be $30 with space limited to the first 10 who sign up. If there is enough interest, another time slot will be established from 11:30-12:30. 

The camp will be for kids aged 6-17. While everyone will be in one group, practice areas will be arranged so that the kids are around other kids their age. Each day attendees will meet in front of the putting green to go over the plan for the day before starting. 

All players who sign up and attend at least two sessions will receive a Junior Certification Card which entitles them and an accompanying parent to play for free at Meadow Lakes after 3 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays for the remainder of the summer.
