Cowboy soccerruns into a wallagainst Ravens
The Crook County Cowboys soccer team closed out OSAA Season 1 on Tuesday, Nov. 17 with a 7-1 loss to the Ridgeview Ravens.
Ridgeview scored five goals in the first 10 minutes of the match, then cruised to the easy victory.
The Ravens still led 5-0 at the half, and scored two goals early in the second half before the Cowboys finally got on the board. Adam Ortiz scored the lone goal 10 minutes into the second half.
Despite the big loss, Crook County head coach Jonny Oelkers was pleased with his team's effort.
"I'm really proud of you," he told his team immediately after the match. "You stayed positive the whole game and you kept fighting."
The Cowboys are now done until Feb. 22, when the official OSAA fall season is scheduled to begin.
