Crook County sophomores Samantha Ramos and Cade Grogan and freshman Todd Tesky participated the Oregon Interscholastic Cycling League races held at Mount Bachelor on Oct. 1 and 2.

This was Ramos' second race and once again she placed third in her age group by completing three 3-mile laps in less than 1:12. Grogan's qualified for a bonus lap and completed his three 3 mile laps in less than 1:05 while Tesky qualified for a bonus lap and completed his three 3-mile laps in less than 1:18.

For both Grogan and Tesky, this was their first race. The Oregon League has been in existence for just five years and already has about 450 registered riders across the state of Oregon. The league is open to girls and boys from sixth through 12th grade.
