River Terrace Memory Care focuses on residents
Last May, River Terrace Memory Care launched a Re-Grand Opening to celebrate its remodel, expansion and new ownership. My experiences as a social worker of 14 years and a nursing home administrator for over three years gives me the valuable knowledge of what compassionate and quality senior living should look like. To make that happen, I recognized the need for more than just a beautiful building, so I interviewed eight management companies before partnering with Caring Places Management to provide a top-notch living experience. Through our partnership, residents will have the support of a locally-owned company combined with the tremendous systems of a large management company, such as our electronic medical system that ensures patient care plans are regulated properly.
Today, with a dedicated staff of 25, each of us at River Terrace Memory Care pride ourselves on giving seniors the care they need in a community that is empathetic and professional, while utilizing innovative approaches to help seniors with cognitive conditions. We offer restaurant-quality dining, a comfortable and beautiful environment, 24-hour onsite supervision, care plan management, and an activities calendar filled with events, crafts, exercise classes, live and interactive forms of music and memory building games to keep our seniors finding their intention.
Daily life can be difficult and unsettling for seniors living with cognition impairments, but at River Terrace Memory Care, we strive to make our resident's moments golden. Administrator Molly McKain works daily to focus on more than just physical care, she searches for the best practices to keep our residents engaged and living a purpose-driven life.
