Having fun at River Terrace with our dedicated staff
River Terrace continues to be covid-free. As we continue to focus on the safety of our residents, we also find ways to have fun. Recently, we had a western day where all of our staff members and some of the residents dressed up in western attire. There were prizes and we had a "shoot-out" competition with nerf bullets.
We take a tremendous amount of pride in our care team. Our care staff are extremely experienced. Most of our care staff members have well over five years of caregiving experience. Our residential care coordinator has over twenty years of experience and assists with the care, provides ongoing educational training and audits our clinical systems.
Erin H., med aide and caregiver, describes the care team as "dedicated and very caring. Erin states that "we have not had a single case of covid and that is because of us. We have had 9 months of no covid and that speaks to the quality of our team." Regarding a recent meaningful experience, she said "having a heart-to-heart with a resident's daughter recently was poignant because she was very trusting of our team despite her mother having several difficulties."
Leta G., caregiver, says that our care team is "excellent because we communicate very well with one another." She says that we have handled covid well because "we have focused on cleaning, washing our hands and following all protocols." In terms of a recent meaningful moment, she described our evacuation in September due to the fires and smoke and stated, "that it was impressive because everyone worked very well together under a lot of pressure."
River Terrace takes a lot of pride in the quality of their care team because they care tremendously about each resident, are motivated individuals and have excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
