Oregon City Public Works Director John Lewis appointed Aleta Froman-Goodrich to serve as city engineer last week.

Froman-Goodrich, who held the position of senior project engineer, will supervise the city’s Engineering Group, including the city’s capital improvement, development engineering and construction management staff. 

Froman-Goodrich started working for the city of Oregon City in 2006 as a project engineer and was promoted to senior project engineer in 2008. Froman-Goodrich has been the project manager for the city’s $26 million Highway 213 Jughandle transportation project, as well as several other complex multimillion-dollar projects.

Prior to joining Oregon City in 2006, Froman-Goodrich was manager of design at California Water Service Co. bringing 13 years of experience working in their Engineering Department.  Froman-Goodrich grew up in Ogden Dunes, Ind., and received her bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Purdue University.

“I look forward to my new role and the many challenges and opportunities it will present while continuing to serve the Oregon City community to the best of my ability,” she said. “Building livable communities are always a priority on public-works projects whether it is enhancing existing or developing new infrastructure.
