The dual enrollment agreement is a major tool in making college affordable and accessible. The goal of the agreement is to make transition between Clackamas and Western seamless for students, where they can be enrolled in both schools at the same time and maximize their eligibility for state and federal financial aid.

While enrolled in both institutions, students can access campus services such as academic advising and tutoring.

Representatives from the Western Oregon University Office of Admissions will be a regular presence at Clackamas Community College, with coordinated monthly meetings to help students transition between the two schools. In addition, the schools will work together to create smooth academic pathways between the associate degrees and WOU’s bachelor’s degree programs.

“Clackamas Community College’s strong commitment and focus on student success makes them a natural partner for Western Oregon University. Both schools proactively focus on the educational needs of their students, and creating a dual enrollment agreement is the right thing to do for the students,” said Rex Fuller, Western Oregon University president.
