Portland Transit Division officer who killed suspect in Southeast Portland on Wednesday was partnering with his Clackamas County Sheriff's Officer deupty brother.

PORTLAND POLICE BUREAU - Terrell Kyreem JohnsonA Multnomah County grand jury has decided that the May 10 police shooting of 24-year-old Terrell Kyreem Johnson was justified.

The jury's decision, announced Friday, June 23, said a Portland police officer assigned to the Transit Division who shot Johnson during a confrontation on a TriMet transit platform was "a lawful exercise of self-defense under the criminal law."

The Multnomah County district attorney's office has asked a judge to release the grand jury transcripts in the case.
