Free workshop offered to stop West Nile virus
Clackamas County Vector Control is offering free hands-on educational resources to inspire students to think critically through mosquito life cycle experiments and other engaging activities.
Serious diseases such as West Nile virus have been spreading into Oregon, and Vector Control officials say students and families need to understand why this is happening and how to protect themselves.
Vector Control is offering a free educator workshop from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the headquarters of the Clackamas Education Service District, 13455 S.E. 97th Ave.
Free educational materials and dinner will be provided, as well as giveaways of magnifying devices and more.
