'Dangerous' woman sought in connection to ex-boyfriend shooting
A transient woman is being sought after she fled the scene of a shooting involving her ex-boyfriend and her new boyfriend on Sunday.
Clackamas County Sheriff's Office says 40-year-old Helen Dandrea was at her ex-boyfriend's house on Upper Highland Road when her new boyfriend was reportedly shot by her ex-boyfriend. She allegedly Tased her ex-boyfriend.
The incident took place in the Clarkes area of rural unincorporated Clackamas County, about halfway between Oregon City and Molalla, near the community of Beavercreek.
Police said Dandrea then fled the scene in her ex-boyfriend's car, a 1996 brown Buick Regal with Oregon license plate VDW350. She is considered by police to be "armed and dangerous."
In November 2017, Dandrea was sentenced to two months in prison for violating the requirements of her parole. She had previously been convicted of burglary, theft and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Police say you should call 911 if you know of Dandrea's whereabouts. Anyone with information on the case is also urged to contact a tip line at 503-723-4949.
Dandrea's new boyfriend, 34-year-old Joseph Scott Mendoza, was transported by Life Flight to the hospital with a gunshot wound. The ex-boyfriend was transported by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation following the Taser attack.
