Providence names Joe Yoder as COO for hospitals
Providence Health & Services' Oregon region has announced that Joe Yoder has accepted the position of chief operating officer at Providence Milwaukie Hospital and Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center.
Yoder comes to Providence from RCCH Healthcare Partners, where he served as vice president for physician services at the Brentwood, Tennessee-based organization. Prior to that, he spent five years as an assistant administrator for clinical and support services with Legacy Health.
Yoder earned his bachelor's degree in health policy and management from Oregon State University and his master's degree in health administration from the University of Alabama. He also is a fellow of American College of Health Care Executives.
Yoder said he and his family are excited about the opportunity and the culture of Providence is a perfect fit for him. He is looking forward to working with others to help expand Providence services and continue its mission.
Yoder begins his new role May 14, replacing Sherri Kulink, who now serves as chief executive for Providence Milwaukie.
