This month's inaugural Southpaw Shoot-out in Oregon City was a great success, raising $150 for Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Given the interest, Monte Harris will now be organizing regular Southpaw Sundays with the slogan, "It's all about southpaws hanging out." Left-handed participants will meet on Sundays at various locations to play a variety of games, including billiards, darts, shuffleboard, air hockey and more.

The first event will be 2 p.m. this Sunday at Rodders Grub & Pub, 19195 Molalla Ave., Oregon City. No cost to play pool; other games, it's pay your own way. A July 8 meetup will be at Quarterworld on Hawthorne Boulevard in Portland.
