Clackamas Community College offers to help vets start business
Clackamas Community College is partnering with Oregon City-based Veterans Business Services and the U.S. Small Business Administration to help veterans get the skills they need to start their own businesses.
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, veterans are invited to attend a free Boots to Business Reboot course. They will learn the steps, stages and activities needed to launch and grow a small business as a post-military career.
After the workshop, veterans are invited to stay for a free networking event until 6 p.m. Organizations from around the state will be on hand to help veterans develop ongoing relationships for mentoring, technical assistance and professional business services.
"CCC works hard to provide veterans with the resources they need to grow and thrive," said Rob Campbell, director of CCC's Small Business Development Center. "Partnerships like this are an important way for the college to support veterans where they're at in our community."
The Boots to Business Reboot course and networking event will be held in Room 130 of CCC's Harmony West, 7726 S.E. Harmony Road, unincorporated Milwaukie.
