CCSO believes Clackamas pornographer exploited minors
A Clackamas man is behind bars pending trial on charges he had more than 9,000 videos and 20,000 pictures of child pornography on his iPhone.
Nicholas Stacy made an initial appearance Wednesday in federal court and was arrested Sept. 11 after an investigation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. The 24-year-old who was living near Milwaukie is also accused of uploading at least 94 files of child pornography to his Gmail account.
Investigators said they first became aware of Stacy after Google and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children identified him.
CCSO investigators have reason to believe Stacey has impersonated a police officer, security officer, probation officer or other law enforcement roles on numerous occasions to elicit contact from minors for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
There may be more victims, and while they may not recognize Stacy's name, investigators believe they might recognize his face.
If you, your child or someone you know has had contact with Stacy, call the sheriff's office tip line at 503-723-4949 or Homeland Security at 360-693-7712.
