Suspicious activity in the area caused Clackamas High School to be under a lockout situation from about 11 to 11:15 a.m. on Monday, said North Clackamas School District spokesman Jonathan Hutchison.
Unlike a lockdown, where students are locked in classrooms, in a lockout, students can still move about between classrooms or go to lunch.
"The school functions as normal, but the windows and doors are locked so no one can enter or leave," Hutchison said.
He said he didn't know what had been the cause of the suspicion, but was grateful to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office for resolving the situation quickly and peacefully.
