Grocery Outlet donates to Oregon City's Pioneer Pantry
The Grocery Outlet store in Oregon City recently donated over $6,600 to the Pioneer Pantry at Oregon City High School.
The store's Independence from Hunger campaign ran the entire month of July, gathering both cash and food donations from customers. The funds will be used to purchase food for the pantry, which provides free food to high school students attending OCHS, Clackamas Academy of Industrial Sciences and the Oregon City Service Learning Academy.
"Grocery Outlet is a huge supporter of the Pioneer Pantry and has been since we opened our doors four years ago," said Tom Lovell, OCHS principal. "We buy a lot of our food there; they special order for us and have supported our students for four years."
