North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce benefit breakfast on Friday, Dec. 7, at the Monarch Hotel

The Edwards Center was selected as the beneficiary of this year's North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce Christmas Giving Breakfast on Friday, Dec. 7, at the Monarch Hotel.

As is customary for the annual event, one charity each year receives the entire proceeds of the morning's raffle. Last year Parrott Creek Child & Family Services received $6,000 from the Christmas Giving event.

Chamber volunteer ambassadors this year have collected over 160 raffle prizes donated by the local business community in response to their decision to select the Edwards Center. The Milwaukie-based nonprofit organization seeks to enhance the lives of adults with developmental disabilities by helping them reach their highest potential through training, education, employment and housing support, and social opportunities in safe, healthy and stimulating environments.
