Special district offers free educator workshops, mosquito life-cycle kits and more

Clackamas County Vector Control is offering free hands-on educational resources for K-12 schools and groups to inspire students to think critically through mosquito life-cycle experiments, apps and other engaging activities.

Free educator workshops will take place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 and 13, that meet Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core standards.

Serious diseases such as West Nile virus have been spreading into Oregon, and Clackamas County Vector Control officials say that our students and families need to understand why this is happening and how to protect themselves.

Dinner will be provided at the free trainings at Clackamas ESD, 13455 S.E. 97th Ave. For more information or to RSVP, visit, call 503-655-8394 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
