Social studies teacher, librarian traces work history to 1990s at West Linn High School

Oregon City School District officials have hired Stacy Erickson, a West Linn educator, as the new associate principal of Oregon City High School.

Erickson will replace Kathy Johnson, who is retiring as OCHS associate principal this year.

EricksonErickson holds a doctorate degree in education from the University of Oregon and a master's degree in teaching from Lewis & Clark College. She is the parent of three grown sons: a teacher, a graduate student and a junior at the University of Oregon.

Erickson has worked at West Linn High School since 1995 as a social studies teacher and a librarian. Most recently she served as the academic success coordinator at West Linn-Wilsonville's Arts and Technology High School.

"I am excited to be a part of this amazing school community and feel lucky to have the chance to serve here," Erickson said. "This school district is accomplishing great things because of its care and concern for all students."

"We are fortunate to bring Stacy on to our school leadership team," said OCHS Principal Carey Wilhelm. "She brings enthusiasm and a real passion for student success."

Wilhelm was hired this year from the Sherwood School District to replace Tom Lovell, who retired as OCHS principal after six years.
