Willamette Falls Studios plans grand reopening in Oregon City
You're invited to the grand reopening of Willamette Falls Studios, the new name for the Willamette Falls Media Center in Oregon City.
This weekend the public can tour the remodeled studios providing cable-access programming for Clackamas County. Outside, the nonprofit organization's parking lot will be full of food vendors and fun activities for the family from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 9-10, at 1101 Jackson St.
As part of the McLoughlin Neighborhood Sale, Willamette Falls Studios will be raising funds for its public programming by offering a wide variety of new and used household furniture, appliances, clothing, electronics, school/office supplies, home decor and sporting goods.
Executive Director Melody Ashford thanked community sponsors, volunteers and Willamette Falls Studios Board members for support during construction.
"The new name Willamette Falls Studios reflects all of the beautiful upgrades to the historical building where the community center resides," Ashford said. "In addition, our tag line — Your Community TV and Media Center — adds to a better description of what we offer. We look forward to continuing to be a valued resource to the communities we serve."
