Rotary donates to Gladstone Clothes Closet
Gladstone's Clothes Closet is stocked up on socks and underwear for local families thanks to a $2,000 grant from the Gladstone/Oak Lodge Rotary Club.
"We are very grateful for this support," said Clothes Closet Director Joan Herrick. "Having stylish clothes that fit properly helps kids fit in and feel more confident in school."
Run by a partnership of three churches, the Clothes Closet is located behind Gladstone High School off Nelson Lane. It is open from 3-5 p.m. Thursdays and from 10 a.m.-noon Saturdays from September through May. Donations of gently used youth clothing and shoes can be delivered during these hours. The facility serves youth from birth to age 18.
