My Path Wellness moves, expands in Milwaukie
This fall, My Path Wellness moved its training studio from Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard in Oak Grove to expand on International Way in Milwaukie.
My Path Wellness owner Mike R. Thomas, whom the North Clackamas Chamber named the Business Person of the Year in 2016, said the purpose of his personal training studio is "to help people lose weight, manage their health and nutritional goals."
Thomas and his staff strive to keep "clients accountable to their goals in a small and private, judgment free environment, unlike the big-box gyms. We are not a Crossfit or bootcamp facility."
Eight years ago, he started the business to help those who were too intimidated to work out at the big gyms, scared of being judged and intimidated about what to do while at the gym.
"We give clients a more private environment working with a team of trainers with a focus on reaching their goals," he said.
What gives him the most pride is helping the community to get healthy and feel better, along with teaching clients how to exercise and eat healthier to pass on to future generations.
Thomas said My Path Wellness moved to its new location to offer a larger facility and more services to the community.
"We have plans to grow our location to having multiple locations and adding more employees to bring more jobs to Clackamas, Milwaukie and the Oregon City area," he said. "It is never too late to start taking care of your health and wellness. We can help you get back to feeling better or help get you on the right track to feeling better."
