4-H club donates to Gladstone Food Pantry
A local 4-H club called the Fuzzy Squad held a food drive and gathered 515 pounds of nonperishable items for the Gladstone Food Pantry. This was their second year doing the project.
"To help us, they created an efficient system to weigh the food, then sorted the items and stocked our shelves," said Food Pantry coordinator Alex Van Pelt. "This will mean a lot to the families we serve, especially with the holidays coming."
The Gladstone Food Pantry is located behind Gladstone High School off Nelson Lane. It is open from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. All are welcome.
