UPDATE: Missing homeless man found safe in hospital on Jan. 14, weeks after his van turns up at Office Depot near Happy Valley city limits

Gladstone police say that a homeless man turned up safe at a local hospital on Jan. 14, weeks after he had gone missing.

Police had sought the public's help in in locating Andrey B. Zelenko, who has been missing since Dec. 26.

PoZelenkolice say that Zelenko's phone was off and it was out of character for him to be out of contact for this long. Zelenko suffers from depression and from the loss of his wife, according to police who located his van on Jan. 5 at Office Depot on Stevens Road near Happy Valley city limits.

Zalenko, who no longer has a fixed address, was believed to possibly still be in the Happy Valley area or in the woods in rural Clackamas County, where he has been known to camp.
