Harris said he was frustrated with just signing petitions, using broken volunteer interfaces and merely talking about what needs to happen. In July 2018, he introduced a string of environmental projects while building a website,

Harris' website suggesting environmental solutions launched in 2020, the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. He organized the Meldrum Bar Project to remove invasive ivy from over 1,000 trees between March and September this year.

Harris decided it was time to make up for his own "years of environmental in-activism." His vision for is to create a grassroots movement that aims to help people clean up their communities and build natural habitats in their own backyards.

Harris said that focused group efforts and resolute determination regarding environmental and climate challenges can make a huge difference.

"Imagine if just 10 percent of the population formed and led an intercontinental eco-friendly workforce to solve the issues causing climate change," he said. "Eight hundred million people joining together could turn things around."
