County voter turnout outpaces 2016 heading into Election Day
Heading into Election Day this week, voter turnout in Clackamas County for the 2020 general election is significantly outpacing the previous two general elections in 2018 and 2016.
Turnout data provided by the Clackamas County Clerk's Office showed that 76% of voters had turned in their ballots as of Nov. 2, a marked increase compared to the same time in both 2018 (when 52% of voters had turned in ballots) and 2016 (when 61% of ballots had been turned in the day before the election).
As of Monday, 234,779 voters had returned their ballots.
Voters can track their ballot using the Oregon Secretary of State at sos.state.or.us to ensure that the county election's division received it.
