Clackamas High School grad nabs $20K scholarship
Kate Stubbs of Happy Valley, a 2016 graduate of Clackamas High School, was recently honored with a $20,000 scholarship at Memphis-based Southern College of Optometry. The Presidential Endowed Scholarship recognizes a student with a competitive GPA, Optometry Admission Test score and demonstrated leadership and service.
Stubbs, the daughter of Lisa and Tom Stubbs, recently graduated from Oregon State University. In receiving the presidential award, she is getting one of the highest scholarship honors given to the Southern College of Optometry's most "outstanding" students each year.
