Gladstone and Oak Lodge's 2022 students each win $1,500 college scholarships.

Three Class of 2022 graduates will receive $1,500 college scholarships from the Rotary Club of Gladstone/Oak Lodge.

Alessandra Armenta-Lopez graduated from Gladstone High School with a 4.0 grade-point average. During high school, she participated in soccer, cross country and swimming. She has demonstrated leadership skills as both a swim-team captain and a Key Club officer.

Armenta-Lopez also did community service for the Immigrant Mutual Aid Coalition. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she was awarded the Seal of Biliteracy from the state of Oregon.

She plans to study premed biology at Willamette University to become a pediatrician. Alessandra Armenta Lopez, Lillian Jamison and Anna Dubintsov

Anna Dubintsov was a valedictorian at Rex Putnam High School. She has demonstrated extensive community service through her church. An International Baccalaureate student, Dubintsov is fluent in Russian and English and also is studying Spanish. She plans to study electrical engineering at Portland State University.

Lillian Jamison graduated third in her class at New Urban High School. She is an excellent student with a passion for plants and art. She plans to attend Oregon State University or may start at a community college and then transfer to OSU.

Jamison is interested in teaching biology and English language development, or possibly earning a degree in horticulture.

"We are proud to support these outstanding young women as they begin college," said Rotary President-elect Leslie Robinette. "Because of their work ethic, community service and focus, we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish."
